In 1985, at the age of 19, he responded to the call of the Gospel, converting and receiving baptism by immersion and the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Shortly after, he was called to full-time ministry, dedicating himself to the service of the church community.

His commitment to theological training led him to obtain degrees from the International Biblical Institute of Songueland and from CENAFOBI in Yaoundé in 2013. His pastoral ordination in 1999 marked the beginning of a rich and diverse ministry.

Reverend Pastor Zanga Lucas has held various leadership roles within the Messianic Evangelical Church of Cameroon, including serving as a church sector leader and apostolic delegate. His ministry has had a significant impact on 14 local churches.
