Lucas’s innate leadership qualities, coupled with an ardent desire to see the transformative power of the Gospel spread like wildfire, propelled him to assume increasingly significant roles within the Church. As a dynamic missionary district leader, he spearheaded the spiritual activities of Lekie in Sa’a (2007-2009), Mefou and Afamba (2009-2011), and Mbam and Kim (2011-2014) with visionary guidance and unwavering courage. Even when faced with unimaginable adversity – a harrowing traffic accident on January 30, 2018, that inflicted severe injuries including four complex fractures – his spirit remained unyielding, his determination to fulfill his divine mission unbroken. Since 2014, he has shone as the spiritual beacon for the communities of Obala and Mbankomo, guiding and uplifting them with a renewed and profound affection.
At the vibrant age of 59, Lucas stands as a testament to forty years of impactful ministry, a luminary whose profound teachings and eloquent pronouncements have resonated deeply within countless hearts. His tireless dedication has been instrumental in the establishment of numerous thriving local assemblies and his dynamic leadership has enriched three major ecclesiastical units within the EMEC.
Beyond the pulpit, a parallel calling resonated within Lucas, a whisper that blossomed into a powerful literary voice, inspired in part by the insightful works of figures like Alain Choiquier. Driven by a deep-seated desire to share his rich tapestry of experiences and his profound understanding of Scripture, he unveiled his first manuscript in 1991, a guiding light for those who carry the Gospel. Since then, under the evocative pen name “Plume Digitale Lucas” (Digital Quill Lucas)
